Pierre Paulin Born on July 9th, 1927 in Paris, France, the designer of the Artifort armchair Oyster "F157", was one of the most important French furniture designers of the twentieth century. His furniture is known for its organic shapes and use of modern materials. The Oyster armchair is an excellent example of his craftsmanship and creativity. Looking makes you admire sitting makes you appreciate it. Who will soon have this eye-catcher as a showpiece? This Oyster has been proffesionally reupholstered in blue/grey two color woven fabric a few years ago. Also the foam was renewd. This is the high 'gentleman's' version. An original Artifort Oyster model F157 (the larger version), designed by Pierre Paulin in 1958, manufactured in the 1960s by Artifort, NL. This is evident from the nickel-plated frame. Later versions have a chrome-plated frame. Small signs of age and use to the fabric, please see the fotos as part of the desciption and for a good impression.
