Artdanaux côtré Akoun - Le tumulte des visages

The Tumult of Faces Artist: Julien Danaux — Artdanaux Medium: Oil and acrylic on cardboard Dimensions: 29.7 × 42 cm (A3 size) Support: Cardboard Framing: Unframed Description of the work With The Tumult of Faces, Julien Danaux explores the complexity of human expressions through a free figurative composition, vibrant and intensely colorful. Several faces seem to emerge from one another, cross and overlap in an almost instinctive movement. Black, tense, spontaneous lines draw the contours of the figures while colors — bright pink, red, deep blue and luminous yellow — clash and respond to each other with intensity. The contrast between colored areas and spaces kept in reserve gives rhythm to the composition. The faces, deliberately stylized, oscillate between human presence and expressive deformation, revealing an emotional dimension that goes beyond mere representation. The pairing of oil and acrylic enriches the painted surface with variations of texture, overlaps and gestural traces. The whole preserves an admitted spontaneity, characteristic of an artistic exploration situated between contemporary figuration, expressionism, and abstraction. This original work invites the viewer to discover different expressions and interpretations as the gaze moves. Its A3 format naturally allows it to find a place in a contemporary art collection or in an interior that favors singular and expressive works. Original work sold unframed.
