"TIME IS LUXURY" is a sculptural and conceptual work entirely handmade by Art Stray-Nos. This unique creation reinterprets the classic chessboard through the worlds of luxury, fashion, and symbolic power. Each element has been designed, modeled, assembled, and customized piece by piece. The pawns become here characters and icons of a world where every move represents a social, artistic, or economic strategy. Louis Vuitton Chessboard – "The Art of Playing" This unique piece, entirely handmade, transforms the traditional chessboard into a true decorative art object, at the crossroads between game, sculpture, and luxury codes. The board is supported by a particularly original base, imagined as a large upside-down glass. Its slender silhouette tightens under the chessboard before flaring generously toward the floor. This shape deliberately distorts a familiar object to make it the pedestal of a work, giving the impression that the chessboard is balanced above a monumental chalice. On the matte black base, the inscription Chanel 31, rue Gambon, Paris, along with the Chanel logo, is not a simple printed element: it is painted, reinforcing the artisanal and singular character of the piece. The painted white contrasts with the depth of the black and interacts with the metallic finishes of the chessboard. The whole merges Parisian elegance, artistic détour, and manual know-how.
