Art Deco Cross - Earthenware - 1930-1940 - Longwy - 42 cm

This cross is a vintage hand-painted faience with cloisonné-like enameled relief. Characteristic technique of Emaux de Longwy. Decoration consists of colorful arabesque motifs against a bright turquoise blue background with fine outlining. On the back are the characteristic stamps. It dates from the Art Deco period 1960-1970. The designer is Rehausse AK (Albert Kitchtetter).
