Primo GMT Bronze is a diver built with a material that very few actually use: solid deep-sea bronze CuSn6, the alloy employed in naval environments to resist seawater. Not a coating, not a surface treatment applied to steel: the case, bezel and crown are bronze from the outside to the core. This is what makes every piece different from all the others. Bronze reacts to air, skin, and salt spray, and over time develops a patina that no other watch will have: it darkens in the engravings, lightens where the sleeve rubs it to polish it. Those who buy an Arcaido do not buy a finished object, but an object that keeps on working. The GMT function allows reading a second time zone thanks to a fourth central hand, paired with the 24-hour scale printed on the dial: home time stays on the main hands, the second time zone is read on the 24-hour scale, with quick time zone and date adjustment. A tool for travelers who want to keep two times in view. The construction is that of a true instrument. Three hundred meters of water resistance, unidirectional bezel with 120 clicks and matte black ceramic insert — relief numbers and scale, a material that resists scratching and staining — sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment, black dial with applied indices and Swiss Super-LumiNova BWG9, white in daylight and blue in the dark. The exhibition caseback in 316L steel with sapphire allows viewing the Swiss automatic movement at work: circular grain decorations, blued screws, and a customized IP black rotor that spins with every wrist movement. It is a finish not usually found in this price range, and here it is not hidden under a closed caseback. The strap is Made in Italy leather, hand-stitched and interchangeable thanks to two removable end-links. In the luxury presentation box you will find the second strap in NBR rubber and the complete tool kit: the bronze buckle is the same one and moves from one strap to the other with the included kit. Case and buckle are in the same bronze and develop the same patina together. Leather for everyday wear, rubber for water.
