Antoni Krzemiński - Stimmungsvolles Chiaroscuro-Stillleben mit Öllampe

For sale is a moody, hand-painted oil painting by the Polish artist Antoni Krzemiński from 1981. The work is in the classic chiaroscuro style (light-dark painting) and evokes the cozy study-room scenes of the 19th century. Details of the motif: The painting shows a masterfully lit still life on a round wooden table. A burning antique table lamp with a distinctive blue-green shade casts a warm, golden light on the scene. In the lamp’s glow one can discern a stack of old books with a red bookmark, an open notebook, a fine glass dish with fruits (mandarins), and a glass carafe in the dark background. Condition and features: Photos are part of the condition description. - Painting: The oil medium and the canvas are in good, age-appropriate condition with no visible cracks or color losses. The canvas is stretched onto an original wooden stretcher frame. - Signature: The work is hand-signed by the artist on the back of the canvas, located and dated precisely: “Antoni Krzemiński, wrzesień 1981” (September 1981). - Frame: The painting is sold including the fitting ornate frame. The frame perfectly underscores the antique character of the artwork, but at the outer edges and moldings there are visible, age-related lacquer flakings and dents (see detail photos).
