Jewelry with blue sapphires has been extremely popular throughout the ages, as sapphires have been regarded as the stone of truth, loyalty, wisdom and reason since ancient times. In combination with diamonds, the hardest gemstones on earth, a ring is a classic creation with symbolic content, as diamonds are symbols of eternity. We discovered this symphony in white and blue in southern Germany and brought it with us to Berlin. The fine ring is crafted from 14-karat white gold and features a wonderful gemstone setting made from these highly symbolic gemstones: In a compactly set row are three sapphires of a dark blue color, alternating with four sparkling old-cut diamonds. Together with the light tone of the white gold, the result is a subtle and harmonious interplay of colors. The special thing about the antique sapphires is that two of the relatively large gemstones are completely untreated and have a fine color quality. Thanks to its shape and materials, the ring can be dated to around 1930. It was probably created in Great Britain, where rings of this shape were very fashionable in the first decades of the last century.
