Antico separé a due ante in noce intagliato e seta rosa...

Antique Two-Panel Carved Walnut and Dusty Rose Silk Screen — 19th Century A refined nineteenth-century furnishing featuring a carved walnut frame and two panels upholstered in dusty rose silk with a damask pattern. The combination of dark wood and delicate fabric lends the piece an elegant presence, suited to a drawing room, library or formal reception room. The shaped frames follow sinuous lines, enriched with mouldings, scrollwork and pierced carved crests. The ornamental vocabulary evokes the rocaille style, reinterpreted through the decorative sensibility of the nineteenth century. The upholstery features floral motifs and arabesques, framed by braid trim in a coordinating shade. The variations in the fabric and the patina of the walnut convey the character of an object that retains traces of its history. The two hinged panels allow the opening angle to be adjusted. Likely conceived as a decorative fireplace screen, the piece can also be displayed as a standalone ornamental feature, alongside antique furnishings or within a carefully considered contemporary interior.
