Bronze Greek Stamp Seal with rosette head – 3rd-1st Century BC A bronze element with a floral head formed by elongated petals surrounding a circular centre. The petals carry longitudinal grooves and have a cut-out outline, while a thick, slightly curved stem projects from the back. The surface retains dark patina, pale deposits in the recesses and wear at the tips. Its configuration could represent a decorative fitting or attachment, although the object to which it may have belonged is not present. The petals spread out from the centre to create a strongly outlined decorative face, while their grooves add further definition within the separate lobes. The reverse is simpler, with the stem forming the main projecting component. Different views show the head both face-on and from the side, making its thickness and attachment area more apparent. Deposits collect unevenly in the ornament. No associated backing plate, fastening surface or larger assembly is visible, so none is reconstructed as part of the surviving piece.
