Ancient Egyptian Terracotta beaded necklace - 100 cm (No reserve price)

Terracotta bead collar – Ancient Egypt Elegant necklace composed of numerous terracotta beads, from ancient Egyptian tradition, currently strung to form a long strand of approximately 1 meter in length. The beads, small in size—approximately 4 mm—feature a characteristic discoidal and cylindrical shape, with slight irregularities typical of their manual manufacture. They preserve an attractive range of natural tones, from ochres and sands to browns and darker earthy hues, creating a particularly harmonious ensemble. The matte surface, the color variations, and the small signs of wear contribute to the piece a marked archaeological presence. The considerable length of the necklace allows the rhythmic succession of the beads to be appreciated and gives it an important decorative effect, both on display in a vitrine and when presented on a stand. Cultural origin: Ancient Egypt Material: Terracotta Total length: approx. 100 cm Diameter of the beads: approx. 4 mm Condition: in keeping with its age, with wear, deposits and tonal variations typical of the material. A piece of intimate and evocative character, representative of the tradition of personal ornamentation in ancient Egypt, especially attractive for a collection of Mediterranean and Eastern archaeology.
