Ancient Egyptian Terracotta beaded necklace - 100 cm (No reserve price)

Collar of terracotta beads – Ancient Egypt Elegant necklace composed of numerous terracotta beads, from ancient Egyptian tradition, currently strung forming a long strand of approximately 1 meter in length. The beads, small in size — approximately 4 mm — feature a characteristic disc-shaped and cylindrical form, with slight irregularities inherent to manual manufacture. They preserve an attractive range of natural tones, from ochres and sands to browns and deeper earthy hues, creating a particularly harmonious ensemble. The matte surface, color variations and small signs of wear contribute to the piece a marked archaeological presence. The considerable length of the necklace allows appreciation of the rhythmic succession of the beads and gives it a striking decorative effect, whether displayed in a vitrine or presented on a stand. Cultural provenance: Ancient Egypt Material: Terracotta Total length: approx. 100 cm Bead diameter: approx. 4 mm Conservation status: in keeping with its age, with wear, deposits and tonal variations typical of the material. An intimate and evocative piece, representative of the tradition of personal ornamentation in ancient Egypt, especially attractive for a collection of Mediterranean and Eastern archaeology.
