Ancient Egyptian lapis lazuli beads with pyrite, white coral, and dyed glass, mounted on silk thread and linked into a modern adjustable bracelet plated in 18K gold; at the ends there are two small cubic zirconia stones. The central glass bead shows remnants of a coating with a pearly shine. In Ancient Egypt, lapis lazuli was an invaluable stone associated with the heavens, deities, and royalty, for its intense deep blue color imbued with flecks of gold from pyrite that recalled the stars.
