Amazing colourful plant fossil - Fossilised plant - Neuropteris sp

What a ‚piece of art‘!, Magnificent matrix showing beautiful natural Neuropteris leaves within a magnificent contrast and amazing colours, due to mineral gümbelite covering the fossils during a natural heating volcanic process underneath the fossilized layers that resulted in a chemical process within the fossil. The fossil is between 308 and 305 million years old.
