Alexandre Petrus (1988) - HERCULES ET CERBERE

ABOUT THE ARTWORK HERCULES & CERBERUS One of the greatest challenges in Greek mythology: Hercules confronting Cerberus, the fearsome three-headed guardian of the Underworld. Inspired by the legendary twelfth labour of Hercules, this composition reveals the hero's extraordinary physical strength as he overpowers the mythical beast. The intense electric blue background, layered with textured variations, contrasts with the sharp black and white stencil. Every muscle, movement and detail reinforces the monumental presence of this legendary scene. A striking fusion of classical sculpture and contemporary street art, designed for collectors who appreciate mythology, heroic figures and bold visual compositions. ABOUT THE ARTIST Alexandre Petrus is a French stencil artist with a strong and instantly recognizable visual identity. His signature technique — the hand-cut double-layer stencil — separates light and shadow into two distinct stencils, layered onto a spontaneous, hand-painted abstract background. The result: a sharp, iconic figure rising from a vibrant, textured chaos of color. To date, 450+ artworks sold in 10+ countries, including France, Spain, the Netherlands, Germany, the UAE and the US. He has performed live painting for major French institutions including Disneyland Paris, created large-scale murals for corporate headquarters, and exhibited at French street art festivals in Grimaud, Perpignan and Venelles. His work is currently shown at Galerie Spot 72 in Le Mans. His artistic practice also extends beyond the canvas through POPCHIPS, an independent street art project. Alexandre creates small original paintings and places them in urban spaces during his travels, turning ordinary streets into unexpected encounters with art. This spontaneous approach reflects his roots in street art and his desire to bring original artwork beyond traditional galleries. His subjects range from mythology and historical figures to pop culture, wildlife and emotionally charged scenes. Whatever the theme, his signature remains: precise stencil work, instinctive abstract backgrounds and the small smiling "AP" monogram — his two initials fused into a face — sprayed on every original piece. Each painting is a unique, hand-painted original. The same stencil design may be used in other original paintings, but every background and colour composition is individually created. Each hand-cut stencil is strictly limited to a maximum of 50 original artworks. Once that limit is reached, the stencil is permanently retired. No prints, no identical artworks. SHIPPING The artwork is carefully wrapped in bubble wrap and protective plastic film, then secured in a custom-sized cardboard box for safe international transit. A signed certificate of authenticity is included inside the package. Shipping via Colissimo or Chronopost (selected at checkout), tracked and insured. Dispatch within 3 working days after payment confirmation. Worldwide shipping available. FOLLOW ME Instagram: @alexandrepetrus.art Website: www.ap-art.fr
