Exceptionally large and impressive pieces Weighing 718 grams Beautiful specimen for a collection of significant heft Nice pieces From my personal collection The Aletai meteorite is a rare and valuable IIIE-an (ferrous) iron meteorite, discovered in Xinjiang, China. Formed about 4.5 billion years ago, it stands out for its imposing size (several tonnes), its unique structure with a high iridium content, and its characteristic Widmanstätten patterns. Officially named in 2016, it groups together several discoveries bearing the same name, including Armanty.
