Alejandro Gonzalez - ABSTRACCIÓN MODULAR 352 - XL (No Reserve)

Modular Abstraction is a pictorial series that explores the possibilities of geometric language through repetition, rhythm, and the articulation of visual modules. Each work is built as a closed structure yet open to multiple readings, where flat shapes and defined contours compose an autonomous visual system. Painting is presented here as a surface of inscription, where simple figures — rectangles, triangles, semi-circles — are assembled into unique combinations, evoking architectural structures, symbols, fragments of possible alphabets. The compositions do not refer to an external reality but propose themselves as self-sufficient entities, capable of generating meaning through formal order. The use of restricted palettes —one or two accent colors and neutral backgrounds— intensifies the perception of balance and contrast, while fine black lines precisely delineate the planes, reinforcing an aesthetics of restraint and clarity. The absence of textures, gradients, or volumetric effects allows each module to preserve its individuality while contributing to an organic totality. In a world saturated with images and stimuli, Modular Abstraction offers a visual pause: a contemplation of order, of boundary, of the infinite possibility hidden in the minimum. Each work is a system, a unit, a visual score offered as a silent enigma to the viewer. One unique large work 100 x 70 x 2.5 cm. Acrylic on canvas Certificate of authenticity 2026 Sides: 2.5 cm.
