A young woman, absorbed and melancholic, lies on a bed while, beside her, a large kitchen with apparently empty pots introduces a everyday element that takes on an evident metaphorical value. The domestic space opens in a nearly unreal way onto a broad mountainous landscape traversed by flowing waters, creating a suggestive contrast between the confinement of the interior and the immensity of nature. The deliberately altered perspective, the checkered floor, and the simplification of shapes give the composition a dreamlike and metaphysical atmosphere. The title, From Your Empty Pots, also appears on the back of the work beside the signature, and seems to suggest a reflection on absence, waiting, and emptiness, transforming the simplest objects of daily life into poetic elements. The female figure thus becomes the emotional center of a silent and contemplative composition, characterized by a subdued palette of ochre, earth tones, pink, and blues. - Born in Piacenza in 1945 where he lives, works, and pursues painting, sculpture, and engraving. He is regarded by Raffaele De Grada as one of the best Italian watercolorists. He began his artistic production in 1968. He has served as President of the Association of Piacenza Painters and founder of the Piacenza Narrators Group. His exhibition itinerary develops in Rome, Milan, and across the nation, well beyond his 50th solo show, before turning to international exhibitions.
