Signature: signed and dated lower right Medium: oil on canvas; (unframed) Size: 8 x 6in. (20.32 x 15.88cm) Condition: There are flecks of paint loss upper right, lower centre and a 1 x 1cm region of loss lower right. The stretcher currently lacks keys and the work could benefit from retensioning. Otherwise very good condition. Provenance: Note from the present owner:Gifted by my late partner's mother, Lilian Bernstone who died in her 101st year in 2013 and was a long time resident of Uddevalla, Sweden. She inherited the picture from her father, Josef Bernstone (1865-1958) who was a dentist, amateur artist and collector also resident in Uddevalla. He had three daughters all of whom were artists, the most well known being Lisa Fonnsegraves-Penn. Note from the present owner:Gifted by my late partner's mother, Lilian Bernstone who died in her 101st year in 2013 and was a long time resident of Uddevalla, Sweden. She inherited the picture from her father, Josef Bernstone (1865-1958) who was a dentist, amateur artist and collector also resident in Uddevalla. Accompanied by a copy of a letter from Eva-Lena Bengtsson Former Head of Collections, The Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm also an email from Professor Tomas Bjrk retired from Stockholm University and an authority on Kronberg.
