African Manilla Bronze

Authentic West African bronze manille dating from the late 19th century or early 20th century (West Africa). This imposing primitive exchange currency, often called a “coin-bracelet,” features superb geometric chevron/ear-of-c corn engravings at its ends. A very beautiful heavy piece of tribal art with a magnificent natural antique patina (traces of original verdigris).
