Africa - Madagascar

- This Geographical Map is an original copper engraving from 1599 (16th Century...). - This is the rare TOLEMAIC edition by MAGINI, ROSACCIO & SESSA, published in 1599 in their very rare and fantastic work bearing the title: "The Geography of Claudio Tolomeo Alessandrino, Translated from Greek into the Italian Vernacular Language, by Girolamo Ruscelli, and now newly enlarged by Gioseffo Rosaccio..... " - Beautiful map printed in VENICE, with wide margins, excellent wash, and very well detailed in every point. - Conditions: the condition is very good as shown in the photos and considering its age; however there is a small wormhole present in the lower right area of the map, well outside the drawn or descriptive field. - The overall dimensions of the map are: 34 x 25 cm.
