Across the three compositions, prisms, moons, monumental architecture, anonymous figures and surreal landscapes are transformed into a monochromatic visual world. The Dark Side places the prism within a cosmic environment of lunar imagery, fragmented architecture and a solitary figure. Wish You Were Here explores memory, absence and human connection, with two figures meeting beneath the prism amid monumental structures and celestial imagery. Echoes becomes more introspective, combining a monumental human figure with lunar and architectural elements to evoke the psychological and cosmic qualities present throughout Pink Floyd’s music. Together, the works form a journey from cosmos to memory to introspection. The compositions draw strongly on 1970s Japanese graphic design, underground publishing, experimental music magazines, science-fiction imagery and analogue print culture. Oversized Japanese typography, halftones, cross-hatching, distressed blacks and imperfect print textures give the works the appearance of forgotten Japanese experimental rock publications. Repeated across all three compositions, the prism becomes the connecting element — both an unmistakable Pink Floyd reference and a broader symbol of light, perception and transformation.
