A Stuttgart silver communion jug On a round, waisted foot, the pear-form body with a band handle and stepped shoulder; the lower part of the body decorated with a repoussé palmette frieze. The domed hinged cover with a thumb rest and a cast figure of the Agnus Dei as a finial. On the front, an engraved dedication: “gestifftet von Herr Sergeant Joh. Frid. Hahn von Stuttgardt + d. 7ten Sept. 1795 und Herr Canonier Joh. Kleinpeter von Hohentwiel, welcher 1/6 darzu beigetragen + d. 17ten Juli 1788.” Above it, the engraved coat of arms of the Stuttgart Hahn family. With gilt interior. Height 34 cm, weight 1,061 g. Marks of Johann Conrad Kurz, around 1790.
