A "How to Ride a Horse" Original Production Cel.

(Disney, 1941) An original hand-painted animation cel from the cartoon short "How to Ride a Horse," originally shown as part of the 1941 Live Action/Animated Feature, "The Reluctant Dragon." The set-up depicts Goofy trying to coax his stubborn steed into motion, with the caption, "Just a Touch of the Spurs May be Necessary" on the matte below. This cel is placed over a hand-drawn and hand-painted background as prepared by Courvoisier Galleries for sale, with their original label included. The cel has an image size of 7.75" x 10.75" within its 14.75" x 16.75" mat. The condition is very good with some curving to the cel and minor discoloration near the horse's hooves.
