A finely constructed French model of a three-masted wooden ship, with extensive standing and running rigging, spars and deck fittings, the hull detailed with alternating black and white bone panels and further small bone fittings, with flying Dutch tricolour flags at the masthead and stern, suggesting that the model represents a Dutch vessel, mounted on a rectangular dark-stained wooden plinth with inset brass plaque stamped 3796, and contained beneath a later clear display cover. Ship: 26 cm long. Case: 36.5 × 21.5 × 11.5 cm
