Group of (8) A.C. Gilbert No. 1-1/2 Erector Sets, 1950's. Each housed in its original illustrated cardboard box showing a father and son building a tower with the George Washington Bridge in the background. All sets include their original instruction manuals. The sets contain an assortment of girders, plates, angle pieces, pulleys, wheels, structural members, hardware, and accessories, with some examples appearing more complete than others. Each set has not been collated for completeness and these are being sold with what is shown. The boxes exhibit moderate wear from age and storage, including edge wear, creasing, tears, and scattered staining. Each box measures approx. 13.5 9.5 inches.
