Pair of Royal Doulton glazed porcelain figurines featuring traditional street vendor subjects. The first figure, titled The Old Balloon Seller, depicts an elderly woman seated on a brown wooden crate, wearing a green shawl with a fringed border over a dark bodice and white apron, completed with a floral-decorated black bonnet. She holds a large cluster of multicolored balloons in shades of purple, yellow, red, green, and orange, with a wicker basket of flowers at her side. The second figure, titled The Balloon Man, depicts an elderly man seated on a similar wooden crate, dressed in a black coat, red waistcoat, and brown hat, holding a corresponding bunch of multicolored balloons. Each figure is hand-painted with vibrant glazes and features a green printed backstamp on the underside with MADE IN ENGLAND ROYAL DOULTON ENGLAND. The female figure is marked The Old Balloon Seller HN 1315 and the male figure is marked The Balloon Man HN 1954. Dimensions: 7"W x 7.5"H Weight: 2.65 lbs Condition Request Condition Report Good.
