On January 9, 1988, The Economist ran the cover "Get Ready for a World Currency," showing a phoenix wearing a coin dated 2018 and rising over burning banknotes, and predicted that within 30 years the world would share a single currency. Bitcoin arrived just 20 years later, and the cover has since taken on an almost prophetic status among Bitcoin enthusiasts. MyBits reinterprets the image with the Bitcoin symbol on the phoenix's breast, while the reverse carries the legend SOUND MONEY FOR A DIGITAL AGE around a holographic seal. Struck in one ounce of gilt copper from a mintage of just 100 pieces, and tied for Top Pop at NGC with only three certified at this grade.
