2024 Domaine Steve Peipillon, Capriciennes Viognier - Rhône - 3 Magnums (1.5L)

Discover the Capricieuse 2024 vintage, a white wine made from the Viognier grape by Steve Peillon, a winemaker based in Chuyer, in the Loire. His estate sits on the slopes of Pilat, between the Rhône Valley and the Rhodanian Hills, a terroir where Viognier finds a beautiful aromatic expression. Steve Peillon has built his project with patience, parcel by parcel, with a view to offering wines “that have a soul and an identity.” This Capricieuse cuvée reflects that approach: a Viognier with character, the result of a winemaker’s work dedicated to precision and to expressing his terroir. Viognier is renowned for its seductive aromas of ripe white fruits, peach, apricot and white flowers. In this 1.5‑litre version, ideal for large tables, meals among friends, or lovers of large formats, the cuvée offers a full, fragrant and convivial white, to be served cool but not ice-cold, at around 10 to 12 °C. On pairing, this Capricieuse Viognier will pair particularly well with fish in sauce, roasted poultry, chicken in cream, mild curries, Asian cuisines, or fresh goat cheeses. Its aromatic profile also makes it a very enjoyable aperitif. To be enjoyed now to appreciate its aromatic freshness, this 2024 cuvée also has aging potential of a few years, provided it is kept away from light and in good temperature conditions.
