2021 Jean-Paul & Benoît Droin – Chablis Grand Cru « Vaudésir » + 2 Chablis – 3 bottles (0.75 L) THE DOMAIN Based in Chablis since the 17th century, the Droin family is among the oldest winegrowing lines in the appellation. Benoît Droin, who succeeded his father Jean-Paul, now runs a estate of about 25 hectares, present on most of the Chablis Grands Crus (Les Clos, Valmur, Vaudésir, Grenouilles, Blanchot, Bougros) as well as many Premiers Crus. The house style is precise and crystalline, favoring fruit purity, tension and the salinity typical of the Kimmeridgian. The estate is regularly praised by international wine press (Burghound, Vinous, Decanter, Revue du Vin de France). In Chablis, Droin stands alongside the indispensable references such as Raveneau, Vincent Dauvissat, William Fèvre, Christian Moreau and Louis Michel.
