2020 Château de Melin - Chassagne-Montrachet - 2 Bottles (0.75L)

2020 Château de Melin – Chassagne-Montrachet ‘Les Battaudes’ – Organic White Burgundy An attractive pair of estate-bottled white Burgundies from Chassagne-Montrachet, one of the Côte de Beaune’s most prestigious Chardonnay appellations. Château de Melin’s ‘Les Battaudes’ combines the richness and depth associated with Chassagne-Montrachet with the precision and freshness that make fine white Burgundy so compelling. Organically produced and matured in oak, this is a wine for lovers of expressive, gastronomic Chardonnay. The cuvée is characterised by floral notes of acacia, hazelnut and delicate toast, supported by a distinct mineral character. Its combination of texture, freshness and complexity makes it a natural choice for an elegant dinner or a special occasion. The appeal of the 2020 vintage Now approximately six years from harvest, these bottles offer the opportunity to explore this Burgundy with some age. With sound storage, bottle development can bring greater integration and more pronounced nutty nuances. An appealing choice for enjoyment now and over the coming years. Vivino rating: 4.1/5 Overall rating for the wine across vintages; not a verified score specifically for 2020.
