2019 Domaine Sainte Croix "Magneric" - Corbières - 6 Bottles (0.75L)

6 bottles from Domaine Sainte Croix, Magneric cuvée 2019. The origin of the name, “Magneric”, lies in a Grenache Noir vine of exceptional quality that sits isolated in the hills. Organic wine. Grape varieties: Old Black Grenache 29%, Old Black Carignan 31%, Syrah 35%, Mourvèdre 5% Vines trained in goblet with two eyes and aged 60 and 105 years for Grenache and Carignan respectively. Syrah pruned in simple Guyot. Aging on lees in stainless steel tanks (30%), and in French oak barrels (228/300/400 litres) for 16 months. No fining, tangential filtration. Color fairly deep with violet-red reflections. On the nose and palate, notes of blackberry, wild raspberry, cassis and fig, accompanied by a slight woody note. The richness and concentration are balanced by the freshness of the Carignan. Tannins, both dense and fine, fill the mouth of this wine, which finishes with aromas of cassis, prune, and crushed stone. Splendid!! See the other listings on Catawiki.
