Reverdito Castello di Brolio, Chainti Classico Gran Selezione 2016 DESCRIPTION: Producer: Reverdito Castello di Brolio Wine: Chainti Classico Gran Selezione Vintage: 2016 Number of Bottles: 2 Size: 1,5L Grapes: 100% Sangiovese Ageing: Aged for 21 months in French oak barriques and tonneaux Alc.: 14% "Castello di Brolio" represents the pinnacle of Barone Ricasoli’s Chianti Classico DOCG range. It is a label defined by exceptional quality—the result of meticulous vineyard selection yielding a captivating color and impressive structure in the glass. The Sangiovese grapes undergo fermentation and maceration in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks for 14–16 days, followed by 21 months of aging in French oak barriques and tonneaux. This *Gran Selezione* is best enjoyed in the company of enthusiasts and connoisseurs, allowing for discussion of the wine’s myriad facets and its potential for significant evolution over the coming decade. In the glass, it displays a bold ruby red hue with subtle garnet highlights. The nose is expansive and complex, offering floral and fruity aromas alongside nuances of spice and aromatic herbs. On the palate, it is rich, velvety, and enveloping, thanks to its excellent balance, leading to a long finish.
