2016 Ca' del Bosco

Ca’ del Bosco Franciacorta Annamaria Clementi Riserva 2016 Ca’ del Bosco’s Franciacorta Annamaria Clementi Riserva 2016 represents one of the most prestigious expressions of the Franciacorta region. It is a wine crafted for those seeking finesse, depth, and complexity—a wine with a personality built upon rigorous grape selection, extended aging on the lees, and a minimalist style, with no added *liqueur d’expédition*. Terroir and Wine Style This Franciacorta Riserva originates in Lombardy, in the heart of the Franciacorta region, from a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco, and Pinot Nero. The grapes come from vineyards located in the municipalities of Erbusco, Adro, Corte Franca, Iseo, and Passirano—areas that help define an elegant profile true to its terroir. The winery has hailed the 2016 vintage as a significant one, thanks to a growing season that fostered steady ripening and a harvest carried out under favorable conditions. The style is that of a highly precise Franciacorta—rich yet restrained—capable of combining structure with vibrant energy. Tasting Notes In the glass, the wine displays a luminous, refined profile consistent with its long aging on the lees. The nose offers complex, layered sensations, ranging from ripe fruit and fine pastry notes to more evolved, mineral nuances. On the palate, the Ca’ del Bosco Franciacorta Annamaria Clementi Riserva 2016 Dosage Zéro reveals a broad, creamy texture well-supported by freshness, delivering a dry, crisp, and remarkably vertical mouthfeel. The absence of dosage highlights the purity of the fruit and the precision of the finish, which is long, clean, and persistent.
