1996 Jacques Selosse

The Jacques Selosse Grand Cru Blanc by Blancs Extra Brut 1996 is a historic jewel of collecting, a champagne of a mythical vintage in the region that stands out for its great maturity and complexity. Being a wine of an exceptional harvest with three decades of evolution, it ranks as the scarcest and most exclusive piece of all, showing the potential for extreme aging that the house's large vineyards possess. Blancs Brut's acclaimed Jacques Selosse Substance Grand Cru Blanc stands out as one of the producer's most complex creations due to its unique method of crafting. This champagne is not governed by a specific year, but is nourished by a perpetual solera system begun in 1986, which gives it a unique depth, oxidative character and consistency that reflect the pure essence of its terroir over time. The Jacques Selosse Initial Grand Cru Blanc by Blancs Brut is considered the great emblem and the ideal letter of introduction to delve into the very personal style of this French house. Made from the combination of three consecutive vintages of Chardonnay grapes from the finest vineyards, it offers a fresher, more vibrant and accessible profile than the previous ones, positioning itself as a highly coveted piece by wine enthusiasts.
