1985 La Rioja Alta, Viña Ardanza - Rioja Reserva - 2 Bottles (0.75L)

2 bottles of Rioja Viña Ardanza Reserva red wine vintage 1985 and 1998. Vintage rating Rioja as Good and Very Good. The bottles are perfect, no leaks, with the normal tone of a wine of 41 and 28 years old. They have always been well stored. Shipping of 13€ only to Spain. Viña Ardanza Reserva 1985 Viticulture: Garnacha comes from vineyards in Tudelilla, while the rest of the grapes come from the vineyard "Viña Ardanza" in Montecillo and from small producers in Haro, Briñas, Briones, Villalba and Labastida. Winemaking: Primary fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks, after which the wine was racked to rest for 12 months in 18,000-liter used oak vats. Subsequently, it was moved to 225-liter seasoned American oak barrels for a crianza of 48 months, undergoing a total of 8 manual racking. Bottled in November 1990. Bottle aging for a minimum of 24 months before sale. Tasting notes Appearance: Bright and very lively ruby red, with medium-high depth and firm viscosity. Shows garnet and copper reflections with a wide edge of toasted color (brick red). Nose: Refined and soft, of medium intensity, with aromas of freshly ground coffee, cinnamon, creamy nuances, vanilla and high-quality wood, along with spicy notes of clove and ginger. It opens and gains complexity as it oxigenates, revealing greater presence of ripe red fruits, liqueur cherry, smoky notes and English tobacco. While not excessively deep or fragrant, it shows notable balance, with an elegant earthy and chalky mineral touch in the background. In the mouth: Meaty and spicy, with an intense acidity and firm, vibrant tannins. It has great energy and an unusual balance for a wine of such vigor. The fruit is very concentrated and there is a touch of sweetness together with a contrasting bitter note. Truly delicious. An excellent vintage! Each lot is shipped individually and there is absolutely no possibility of grouping, since the transport rate used is MONOBULTO. It is never guaranteed in which condition, it is a collectible wine.
