It partly moves away from the very utilitarian image of the old Sanglas models intended for government use, adopting a more attractive and ‘civilian’ look, with more chrome, a distinctive fuel tank, attractive spoked wheels and more modern instrumentation. Sanglas was thus seeking to expand further into the international market and compete with European and Japanese mid-capacity motorbikes.
