1975 Château Carbonnieux

This consistent lot of three historical bottles of great Bordeaux wines consists of one bottle of Château L'Arrosée vintage 1975, one bottle of Château Carbonnieux vintage 1975, and one bottle of Château Duhart - Milon - Rothschild vintage 1974. All three bottles feature the historical 73 cl format, offering an exceptional overview of the Bordeaux vineyards from the mid-1970s. The first bottle comes from the Right Bank under the Saint - Émilion Grand Cru Classé controlled appellation, featuring a cream label with its characteristic monogram and the signature of Madame Pierre Rodhain, owner. The second bottle comes from the Left Bank under the Graves controlled appellation with the Grand Cru Classé distinction, displaying an illustrated label of the castle with the signature of the Société Civile des Grandes Graves in Léognan. The third bottle completes the set with the illustrious Pauillac Grand Cru Classé controlled appellation, showing the original illustrated label from the vineyards of the Société Civile du Château Duhart - Milon - Rothschild, owner in Pauillac. Each bottle has an individual height of 30 cm and a unit weight of 1300 g, representing a total weight for the lot of 3900 g on the scale. Regarding the condition, the dark glass of the bottles shows an authentic cellar patina with dust and storage dirt accumulated over the decades. The original labels are complete and legible, displaying a pronounced natural yellowing and extensive foxing spots due to storage humidity, as well as a small superficial loss on the upper left edge of the Duhart - Milon label. The red metal capsules are original, showing signs of wear, light surface oxidation, and a small tear on the neck of the Pauillac bottle, along with old price tags stuck on the necks. The wine level is identically located for all three items at the low shoulder, which is completely standard and expected for Bordeaux wines over fifty years old.
