1845-D Liberty Head Half Eagle. Winter 13-H. EF-40 (NGC).

1845-D Liberty Head Half Eagle. Winter 13-H. EF-40 (NGC). Tinges of pale pinkish-rose enliven honey-gold color on both sides of this pleasing example. A bit subdued, and with a peppering of tiny nicks, but we see no sizeable or otherwise individually distracting marks. With a mintage of 90,629 pieces, the 1845-D is among the more available Dahlonega Mint half eagles, and this NGC-certified EF will be of particular interest to mintmarked gold type collectors. PCGS# 8224. NGC ID: 25TC. Click here for certification details from NGC.
