1795 Liberty Cap Half Cent. C-6a. Rarity-2. Plain Edge, No Pole. Thin

1795 Liberty Cap Half Cent. C-6a. Rarity-2. Plain Edge, No Pole. Thin Planchet. EF-40 (PCGS). CAC. Manley Die State 2.0, Fuhrman Die State 2. A great-looking example of the type, issue and Cohen number. Original surfaces are toned in blended tobacco and olive-brown, obverse with a few swirls of deeper color at left and right borders. Imperfect centering has left the border denticulation off the flan at lower right obverse, the reverse is a better centered, both sides with bold EF detail throughout the design. Good hard copper with no sizeable or otherwise singularly mentionable marks. Provenance: From the Alan J. Harlan Collection. PCGS# 1018. NGC ID: 2225. Click here for certification details from PCGS.
