1787 Connecticut Copper. Miller 6.1-M, W-2820. Rarity-1. Mailed Bust

1787 Connecticut Copper. Miller 6.1-M, W-2820. Rarity-1. Mailed Bust Left, First Laughing Head. EF-45 (PCGS). A second really nice Miller 6.1-M Laughing Head, as premium at the Choice EF grade level as is the Emerald Coast Collection's primary example in PCGS AU-55, offered above. Here we note rich orange-brown patina with outlines of olive-rose color to the design elements. The strike is well centered and sharp apart from softness within the border denticulation at right obverse and reverse that does not detract. Smooth and hard, minimally microgranular, with only light high point wear and no troublesome marks. Provenance: From the Emerald Coast Collection. PCGS# 358. NGC ID: 2B2W.
