1787 Connecticut Copper. Miller 6.1-M, W-2820. Rarity-1. Mailed Bust

1787 Connecticut Copper. Miller 6.1-M, W-2820. Rarity-1. Mailed Bust Left, First Laughing Head. VF-35 (PCGS). A wholesome example of this distinct and popular Miller number, the surfaces mostly deep chestnut and olive-brown with blushes of crimson and golden-orange at upper reverse. The more vivid colors are associated with light, inoffensive scale, both sides also with some trivial build up within and around a few of the design elements. A hint of microroughness is mentioned solely for accuracy, obverse with a few faint pin scratches over and around the effigy that require magnification to discern. With good centering and equally good overall detail for the assigned grade, this coin presents nicely during in-hand appreciation and will please many Connecticut enthusiasts. PCGS# 358.
