1760 Voce Populi Halfpenny. Nelson-9, Zelinka 6-C, W-13820. Rarity-3.

1760 Voce Populi Halfpenny. Nelson-9, Zelinka 6-C, W-13820. Rarity-3. No P, Stern Bust. VF-35 (PCGS). Deep chestnut-brown with no extraneous marks. Some ancient surface build up is more prevalent on the reverse, on which side a tiny speck of verdigris is also evident at the seated figure's outstretched hand, but the in-hand appearance is generally smooth. The reverse periphery has a cramped appearance due to the border lightly involving the design elements, but the obverse design is more open, all features on both sides bold and fully appreciable. All in all, a pleasing "voice of the people" copper. Provenance: From the Emerald Coast Collection. Earlier from our Baltimore Auction of November 2012, lot 6405. PCGS# 262. NGC ID: 2AUC.
